On Valentine's Day

So someone sends you a Valentine's Day card, and it's full of hearts and kisses and then it asks a fluffy question: "Be My Valentine?" which turns it into a psycho ransom note. What if you don't want to be their Valentine? And there's no way to respond because it's anonymous. So you can just expect they're going to turn up on your doorstep some day very soon, And You Had Better Be Ready, or else... You end up like Saint Valentine (Roman priest circa Claudius II, the roman emperor who wanted to build an army but realised married blokes would fight like girls because they'd be pining for their lovelies and bubbies so he outlawed marriage then along came Valentine who married a young couple out of empathy and "You'll be sorry!" slash-slash went Claudius, felling him flatly) - a martyr to Love. . . And the moral of that little story is . . . Love One Another Every Day. Or else...

Drawing a blank

On rare moments during meditation, I wander the empty corridors of my mind. But more often, I wonder who cancelled the cleaners.

On Summer Sweltering

It's 11.18pm and 31 degrees celsius in my home office which means my internal body temperature is almost in synch with the real world. I can't tell you happy that makes me. Which means there's really no excuse for spontaneous combustion in this sort of weather and that at least 100 17 year-olds around Melbourne will wake up tomorrow morning with RSI from scooping ice-cream all night.

Spring Rains

I believe for every drop of rain that falls, an ant drowns.

A Little More About Me

* Mmmmmm, the smell of baked goods...

* I am to animals as a warm, fluffy white towel is to a toddler

* Woman of altitude (puffs up small mountains in high places)

* "I live to learn, to love, to progress"

* My body is a temple... to the Travel Bug

* There are secret writing projects hiding from me in my bottom drawer

* Add Organic coffee for instant clarity

* Add yoga for instant spiritual being (having a human experience)

* Be gone thou unspeakable lolly Temptress!

* Lucky me: I enjoy moments of great beauty, every day

* I will see the swirling scarves of the Northern Lights before I die

* Baked-Goods Gobbler! I shall vanquish Thee with the acid of mine poisoned thought!

* Look deeply into the eyes of another, and see where they have been.

* Love is . . . to accept yourself unconditionally first, and to offer all you have left to others
